Directed and implemented the organization's industrial health, safety and environmental programs to ensure a safe,
healthy, accident-free and regulatory compliant work environment. Also responsible for the administration of the
Worker's Compensation program. Planned, developed and delivered safety and environmental training programs.
Certified ISO14001;2004 Environmental Lead Auditor.
1999 - 2004 The Gerstenslager Company - Wooster, Ohio ; Safety Supervisor
Provide safety and health guidance to employees and management. Develop, coordinate, implement, evaluate,
revise, and enforce Federal and State safety regulatory compliance issues. Chair the Safety Committee, conduct
monthly supervisor safety meetings, facilitate safety training, perform safety inspections, and accident investigations.
Served on the ISO14001 Steering Committee. Most of all promote a safe work environment for all employees with a
positive attitude toward working safely because we want to rather than because we have to.
1994 - 1999 The Gerstenslager Company - Wooster, Ohio; Workers' Compensation Coordinator
Serve 1,000 employees in a union-manufacturing environment. Assist claimants, process, investigate, and manage a
self-insured Workers' Compensation Program. Coordinate efforts between a third-party administrator, medical
providers, attorneys, the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, and the Industrial Commission to rehabilitate and
return employees to their pre-injury status while reducing claims costs. Supervised replacement for 3 years as the
Safety Supervisor.
1991 - 1994 The City of Wooster - Wooster, Ohio; Personnel Specialist
Group of 210 full-time, 30 part-time, and 130 seasonal municipal employees. A full service human resource function
with a comprehensive Civil Service direction. Utilized research and analytical skills, as well as, becoming
accustomed to budget management.
1990- 1991 Wayne-Dalton Corporation - Mt. Hope, Ohio; Personnel Administrative Assistant
Serviced 500 full-time production employees. This fast growing manufacturing company decentralized to form a
Plant Personnel office. Involved with the design and implementation of many programs mandated and regulated by
various government entities.
