FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHY 2007-Present
Successful completion of commercial photography assignments requiring planning,
follow-through, and results that meet client objectives. Other related experience includes
setting up equipment (backdrops, lighting, props, etc.), lighting (strobes), tear down,
location planning, customer service, and consulting.
HIGHLIGHTS:
• Project: Business Card Photography (Oct 09) for Shoogee.inc
Scope: Worked with Shoogee Inc. to create a series of images of their business cards to
use in their online ordering process. Collaborated with my contact through email (client is
in Munich, Germany) about lighting, image selection, color, deadlines, and much more.
This job required hard side lighting, backlighting, colored lights to create the desired
reflections, and knowledge of macro lenses to cause embossing, differences between
paper types (gloss, matte, woven), and other fine details to POP. Client was very thrilled
with the high quality of the images I provided.
• Project: Portrait Sessions. (2008-present)
Scope: Worked with clients varying from individuals to family groups for indoor and
outdoor portrait sessions; selected products; worked with clients to select location for
shoot; set up and worked lighting, reflectors, gels, and gobos; shot, edited, and developed
photos; obtained model releases; uploaded and released photos to secure web-based
galleries which I designed; customer service and relations.
• Project: Web Design and Maintenance (2008-present)
Scope: Researched web domains and hosts; purchased domain name; set up and designed
web site through Smugmug; routine uploading and maintenance of galleries, photos, and
appearance.
• Project: Senior Soccer Posters (Fall 2008)
Scope: Ensured each high school senior athlete was photographed in action on the field;
designed poster template; listened to special requests from parents and acted on them;
maintained customer relations and gathered final orders; imported final 5 images per
athlete into template; printed, matted, framed, and delivered final project ahead of time to
the customer in charge of the event.
• Project: Weddings (June 2008, Oct 2009)
Scope: Worked with head photographer to coordinate shots and angle coverage; shot
candids as other photographer shot poses; secured rights to my images; uploaded photos;
kept track of memory cards and other equipment; provided a spirit of camaraderie and
morale to support head photographer and relieve tension in a manner that provided
memorable, high quality photographs.
• Project: Yearbook Volunteer (2007-present)
Scope: Saw and acted on a need to provide quality sports and events photographs to our
High School; learned what sports were needed for the yearbook and promotional
materials and went to those events; Shot soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, volleyball,
drama, and concert photos; delivered products in desired formats to proper departments;
printed and designed promotional flyer and display board for drama department.

• Provided care and support for my own family (wife and 2 children under 3)as well as
for each teen in our direct care (5-8 children non biological)
• Routinely communicated information to both our supervisor and children’s case
worker
• Monitored household finances by budgeting, keeping receipts, filling out financial
summaries at the end of each month and forwarding financial records to superiors.
• Kept daily logs of the activities of each child as well as graded each child as to how
well they did that day in their 3 goals and other categories. Daily reminded each child and
prompted them to best help them achieve their goals.
• Filed day-to-day routine paperwork and ensured copies were given to our caseworker
