PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Established critical partnership with key supplier resulting in multi-year contract manufacturing
agreement sourcing over 38 million pounds of products in 2008. Resultant production supplied
key customers in developing markets in Europe and Middle East generating $10 MM in profits
annually.
Delivered over $10MM per year in financial impact to the Polyurethanes Business.
Accomplished through role as six sigma champion identifying, prioritizing, and resourcing
Supply Chain improvement projects across a variety of opportunity areas.
Demonstrated successful strategic sourcing in both commodity and specialty items. In the
2007/08 time frame I worked with suppliers and company purchasing specialists to develop
and implement a strategy for securing a key raw material that was in extremely tight supply
and greatly escalating in price ($30+ million spend). Our work resulted in zero plant
shutdowns or supply interruptions in a volatile marketplace. As this market loosened in late
2008, our work to secure supply and develop supplier relationships resulted in cost
advantaged contracts for 2009.
Developed and implemented supply chain process in the launch of a medical exam glove
marketed and distributed in the United States, Japan, and Australia. In three years of operation
the business developed sales of 185 MM gloves with annual revenues of $6.5 MM. The business
was sold to our contract manufacturer in Malaysia for $9MM with a long term raw material
supply agreement from Dow.
Integrated an acquired business into company while maintaining the unique strengths and business
model of the existing enterprise. Dow BioProducts Ltd. located in Winnipeg, Canada, produced
composite boards from Straw and Polyurethane resin. This business presented a unique raw
material challenge of harvesting an entire year’s raw material in 2 months (straw). Through
partnerships with Farmers and Tractor manufacturers/dealers, cost savings of over $1MM per year
were realized.
