EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

June 2006-July 2009

Dupont Family Dentistry, Lead Dental Assistant & Front Office Staff

My duties consisted of training new dental assistants at our office, supervising all of the back

office staff and making sure everything is organized, everyone is doing their job, staying on

time and being a leading example for the other dental assistants. I interacted with patients,

insurance agents, and Dr’s all day long. I assisted the Dr’s in many procedures including

amalgam & composite fillings, endo, crown and bridge, and all oral surgeries. I also prophied

adults and children, took digital xrays, packed cord, placed rubber dams, performed lab work

and took impressions, and ordered supplies for our whole office.

I spent half of my day’s working up front at our office answering multi-phone lines, making

appointments for patients, working with insurances, worked with Practiceworks software, filing

charts, and making sure all of the co-pays are paid for procedures. I memorized many

insurance fees and am familiar with the dental codes, and insurance breakdowns for patients.

November 2001-June 2006

Dr. Rick Krell D.D.S., Dental Assistant

My duties consisted of assisting the Dr. in many procedures that are listed above. I ordered

supplies for the office, sterilized, cleaned, and lab work. I also worked in the front office helping

with co-pays for patients, answering telephones and working with insurances.

June 2001-October 2001

Dr. Mark Perry D.D.S., Dental Assistant Extern

I spent 3 months at this office replacing a dental assistant who was on maternity leave. Here I

learned the in’s and out’s on how to be a successful dental assistant. It was a great learning

experience for me and prepared me for my career after school and my externship was over.
