functions for 8 manufacturing facilities, four distribution centers and 250 retail establishments
located throughout the United States. Communicate all Environmental and Safety issues to the
LESCO Board of Directors and corporate management. Responsible for due diligence and
environmental site assessments and construction projects. Interfaced with all federal, state
and local agencies (EPA, DOT, and OSHA) on inspections, compliance and regulatory issues.

Environmental Supervisor
Supervised the environmental and industrial hygiene staff for a 1700 employee union facility.
Duties included interfacing with all federal, state and local agencies including the State Fire
Marshall, EPA, DOT and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Responsible for the
development and implementation of the Industrial hygiene and Occupational health programs
including Bloodborne Pathogens, Radiation Safety, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory
Protection, Confined Spaces and Hazard Communication and all other Medical monitoring
programs.
• Developed a Corporate Waste Minimization Task force that successfully implemented the
EPA 33/50 toxic chemical reduction plan at The Cleveland Works
• Member of the Corporate Audit Team, responsible for internal audits of ALCOA facilities
and qualifying of all waste disposal facilities for the Cleveland Works
• Led environmental remediation and closure of a Sand Casting facility and a Magnesium
Casting facility. The decommissioning included the remediation of PCB’s, asbestos, lead
paint and underground storage tanks
• Instituted and trained the facility Emergency Response Team
• Developed an environmental remediation plan for a radioactive contaminated site in
coordination with the NRC
• Managed the facility’s on-site solid waste landfill and all outside regulatory inspections of
the landfill by the Ohio EPA and State Health Department
• Accountable for the management of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
Hazardous Waste Management program for the facility, including vendor specifications,
budgeting and disposal facility audits and approvals.
• Managed the successful removal and remediation of 32 Underground Storage tanks (UST)
in conjunction with the State Fire Marshall, local fire departments and the Ohio EPA
