2008-2009 Lead Strategy and Analysis
•Led the corporate team responsible for managing and executing the merger of Burt’s Bees with The Clorox
Company, including handling of due diligence, data room set-up and communication management with Goldman
Sachs and AEA Investors. Core to this was the creation/management of the valuation model that eventually led to a
sale of the company for $950MM, generating a 450% return on investment for AEA Investors. (Private equity owner
of Burt’s Bees)
•Delivered a Long-term (5-yr) strategy outlining key areas of future growth, covering: geography, region, channel,
customer, product and acquisitions. The plan is expected to drive Burt’s Bees to a minimum of 300% top-line growth
by 2013 with an expanded international presence representing 40% of total revenue. (up from 5% currently)
•Developed, implemented and manage the Budgeting, Forecasting, and Planning and Analysis process for Burt’s
Bees, Inc. Included in this are the development of Board presentations, Corporate Executive presentations and
Investor Relation presentations highlighting a strong ability to tell a story behind the numbers versus simply relaying

2006-2008 Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy and Analysis
•Designed the operating structure for Burt’s Bees United Kingdom, the first international subsidiary opened by the
company, and executed against the model to the start of trading. Directly responsible for identifying and negotiating
the 3PL contract, ERP contract and developing the go-to-market strategy. BBUK is expected to deliver $8.5MM in
incremental revenue in the current fiscal year.
•Created and instituted a Balanced Scorecard, linking KPI’s for Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Human
Resources and Sustainability to the AOP and Long Range Plan. This work led to a second project focused on Core
Process Re-engineering that delivered an increase of 20% in forecast accuracy, decreased Days-to-Cash by 10% and
increased Key Account customer satisfaction scores by an aggregate 50%.
•Partnered with the EVP of Supply Chain to deliver a long-term manufacturing strategy (2012), covering
configuration, organizational structure and talent gaps, manufacturing footprint and facility needs and capital
expenditures totaling $75MM. The plan was accepted and is targeted towards a Leed Platinum site.
