6/06 – 10/09: Credit Director, (Senior Credit Officer)
Simultaneously, managed two credit focused businesses with direct P&L and portfolio management
responsibility. Actively managed both current and classified credits and consulted on workout strategies for
some of the largest and most complicated credits.
Business and Product Head - US Business Finance Group: a national business providing
corporate finance solutions to the High Net Worth (HNW) entrepreneur through a commercial
lending product. Target market companies included those with revenues ranging from $25MM to
$10B and transaction sizes of $10MM to $500MM. Transaction types include: Leveraged
recapitalizations, working capital facilities, term loans, ESOPs, M&A facilities and counterparty
risk – swaps, f/x, etc. Overall business head leading two teams of credit professionals (East and
West) managed out of four locations across the US.
Handled the strategic and operational direction of the credit product and interfaced across the
Citibank platform with Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Credit Policy and senior business
managers. Was the lead interface for Business Finance’s participation in the U.S. Government’s
Ring Fenced Asset Program (Gov’t Guarantee), which included substantial reporting and
compliance work with the OCC, Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury.
Mid-Atlantic Region Credit Director – HNW Group: a regional HNW / private bank lending
business encompassing New Jersey through North Carolina with key locations in NY, NJ,
Baltimore, Philadelphia and Washington DC. Portfolio ranged widely in scope and included
credit exposure related to: margin securities, derivative products, counterparty exposure,
structured investment product, real estate, unsecured lending, art lending, executive aircraft, hedge
fund, and private equity finance.
Created and grew this business over a three-year period with high portfolio quality and overall risk
metrics. Set credit standards and product expectations for the credit team and private bankers.
Lead portfolio reviews on the lending products outlined above.
Citigroup – Risk Management / Special Assets and Recovery Group
9/01 – 6/06: Credit Director, ( Senior Credit Officer)
Managed classified risk/loan exposure for the entire US Private Bank and Smith Barney client base ranging
from corporate credits - including asset based, business valuation and cash flow transactions - to high net
worth individual transactions that included investment real estate, aircraft, art and other highly structured
finance deals. Transactions ranged from $15-$200 million with concentrations in leveraged restructures and
other “turnaround” situations.

Worked with line partners to ensure a proper transition of relationship(s) and consultation on

6/98 – 9/01: Vice President (Senior Transactor / Team Leader)
Responsible to market and structure credit products to (for) Smith Barney’s High Net Worth Clients.
Built out a start-up business involving the cross-sell of credit products to high net worth individuals and their
corporations. Portfolio increased 300% to over $3 Billion in three-years with high credit quality. The credit
product was broad based and included direct lending and counterparty risk as previously described.
Developed a unique understanding of the brokerage model and client base.
7/97 – 6/98: Vice President (Investment Finance Officer)
Managed a $150 million credit portfolio involving high net worth transactions. Substantial businesses and
capital investment analysis as well as quantifying credit exposure associated with Capital Markets products.
Analyzed, Structured and closed highly tailored credit facilities to individuals. These include corporate
executives, business owners, investment professionals, real estate investors, securities lending and unsecured
lending transactions.

Responsible to maintain and build corporate banking relationships.
