Worked as an offsite consultant on Oracle ERP Implementation project. Developed Oracle
Workflows, PL/SQL Packages and Oracle Reports for the “Engineering Change Orders” cus-
tomizationtomizations.
PROJECTS:
NGVB Project – Development in J2EE Framework
Languages: Java/J2EE, JSP, PHP, jQuery, javascript
Database: MySQL
Software: Apache Tomcat, Hibernate, Struts2, Eclipse
NGVB (National Gene Vector Biorepository) is a resource by academic investigators and others
conducting gene therapy research. As part of the development team, I am involved in the J2EE
web application development and maintenance of web interfaces for the administrators and also
for the investigators to keep track of the samples archived. The implementation follows the MVC
design pattern, using the Struts Framework.
Instructor (fall 2008)
Taught a graduate course at IUPUI for the informatics department. This course introduced the
basic concepts of web development using PHP and MySQL.
NGVL Project – Dynamic Reporting
Languages: PHP, java
Database: MySQL
Tools: iText, Eclipse
Developed an application to generate NGVL (National Gene Vector Laboratories) toxicology
study reports in PDF format using iText, an open source tool.
Oracle ERP Implementation
Tools: Oracle Workflow, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports.
Database: Oracle
Developed customizations on Oracle Workflow to accommodate the client specific needs to va-
nilla Oracle Workflows. Developed various reports for Oracle Engineering Module.
Course Content Management System
Languages: Java, PHP, Java Script, HTML, SQL,JDBC
Database: MySQL
Created a dynamic web site with search capabilities on keywords given by the user and also
capable of interacting with a database and manage the contents of a course offered by the fac-
ulty. This project has a database driven authentication implemented and allows three different
types of users accessing the web site – students, faculty and administrator.
Data Mining - Mining unstructured data
Languages: Java
Platform: UNIX
Implemented the Apriori algorithm, which is by far the most well known association rule mining
algorithm. The Apriori algorithm was applied to a set of data that was obtained by applying the
transitive closure property among objects obtained from the scientific literature that is available
in the Medline database. The results from this project were used to uncover important data pat-
terns.
Web mining
Languages: Java, JSP
Platform: UNIX
Software: Apache Tomcat, Nutch
Web mining project has been implemented to personalize and classify the web search results
into pre specified categories in order to facilitate users quick browsing through the search re-
sults. This increases the precision of web search. Nutch, an open-source Java implementation
of a search engine, has been used to provide the complete web search software.
