Directed 25-person project team responsible for cleansing customer addresses at this Nationwide
Insurance division in order to comply with new postal regulations and retain $8.5 million in annual
postage discounts

ERIE INSURANCE, Erie, PA Sr. Project Manager 2008
Led 40-person project team charged with assessing & configuring a vendor’s integrated package to
replace a home-grown 25 year old policy management system at this large insurance company’s
headquarters. Also needed were a new user interface and 27 links to legacy systems.
Integrated Agile methodology practices, including scrum teams and daily standup meetings,
into the company’s standard waterfall development processes
Guided team by creating detailed project plans and budgets, adopting periodic gate reviews,
holding regular issue & risk management reviews, and emphasizing interim deliverables.
Defined improved and consistent processes by working with business analysts and executive
sponsors to first understand, then improve processes.

code, on time and with virtually no defects.
