ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Proactive Leadership / Cost Reduction: Cut merchandising costs 50%, reduced shipping costs, and grew

market opportunities across industries by designing, contracting for, and implementing displays that could hold

future product, as well as current packaging. The design remains viable after 10 years.

Profit and Loss Responsibility / Business Analysis: Tracked down and recovered $90,000 of revenues that

hadn’t been billed properly and otherwise would never have been paid.

Multi-Functional Team Building: Faced with a project that had repeatedly failed for 10 years, held lunches to

build buy-in, and training meetings to create inter-departmental collaboration and effective execution; and

completed the project on-time and under budget.

Multi-Site Operations Management / Cost Reduction: Reduced project costs, streamlined multi-project

support functions, and eliminated redundancy with corporate by establishing a centrally located satellite office,

instead of 5-7 separate field offices for each geographically separated project.

Marketing Management: Eliminated time, expense and confusion of handling separate marketing flyers by

designing and producing the company’s first full-color brochures providing a comprehensive review of the full

line of products available.

Business Development Leadership / Government Contracting: Piloted the company’s entry into large scale

Department of Defense projects, including developing detailed plans and specifications. In order to facilitate this

work; developed a template that served as a framework for similar documents on future projects, including

Project Work Plans, Site Specific Health and Safety Plans, Environmental Compliance Plans, Scheduling Plans,

and Hazard Assessments.

Crisis Management: Radioactive materials were involved in an accident near our client’s facility. I took

command of the situation, and within one hour we had the necessary equipment, manpower, and support in

place to contain and clean-up the materials. Our client company rewarded me with a vacation and monetary

award.

Contract Change Negotiations: Negotiated additional work and more than $1,000,000 in change orders to our

existing contract after encounter field conditions that were markedly different from the contracted scope of work.

Inter-Company Liaison / Government Certification: Won safety recertification for a client company, as well

as goodwill between our companies, by presenting our Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) to the

certifying government agency.
