FLIGHT SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION ANALYST DATA MANAGEMENT
MANAGER
Provides leadership, management, and technical support for the 9 member
configuration and data management teams in support of software development and
data management for more than 10 foreign and domestic flight simulator training
systems in development within the STS division in Akron Ohio and in conjunction
with STS CM/DM offices in Orlando and Ft Worth. Performs audits to ensure
configuration standards and practices are being adhered to on all active programs.
Sets training goals to develop team members to be more effective in support of
their programs. Evaluates production of weekly builds, documentation and
software deliverables to meet foreign and domestic contract requirements. Gathers
metrics and improves processes to facilitate CM controlled software builds.
Motivates the team using incentives such as SPOT awards, SRAs and verbal
appreciation. Participates in kick-off meetings for proposals to provide estimates
CM and DM requirements. Reviews and approves CM and DM budgets and
contract schedule changes. Reviews and approves timecards and work schedules.
Performs team member performance assessments, builds training plans, enforces
company and corporate policies for all team members, to include time card updates
daily and all required compliance training is accomplished in a timely manner.
Partners with Program Managers, Project Engineers, Quality Assurance, Security,
and F & BO personnel to ensure all program requirements are being met on time,
on budget, and meeting all customer requirements. Ensures ClearCase and
ClearQuest training is provided to all site personnel performing development efforts
on flight training devices. Determines team’s equipment needs to support tasks
and ensures each team member has a laptop and any other equipment needed to
support the programs. Uses ClearCase, ClearQuest, UCM, and Clear Project
explorer to produce weekly JSF flight simulator training devices HSI builds.
Produces weekly configuration controlled integration builds for the JSF simulator
and ensures lab deployments of those builds.
