OBJECTIVE My objective is to work as a design engineer to develop the best product possible

with emphasis on quality and cost effectiveness.

EDUCATION Master of Science in Industrial Management

Northeastern State University

Graduation Date: May 2002

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology

Oklahoma State University

Emphasis: Mechanical Design

Graduation Date: May 1995

EXPERIENCE PACCAR Winch Division

Broken Arrow, OK

Design Engineer 2004 – July 2009

Designed winch parts and winch assemblies of various sizes using solid models

with Pro/E. Designed adaptation kits for winches, both PTO shaft and hydraulic

power drives to mount onto the back of various makes and models of bulldozers

(CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, CASE, etc.) Supervised the installation of

prototype winches in field for correct fitup. Created installation instructions for

subsequent winches sold.

Gear Products, Inc.

Tulsa, OK

Design Engineer 1998 - 2004

Engineering Draftsman 1996 - 1998

Designed large slew ring rotation bearings, worm gear reducers and worm gear

boxes for the construction equipment and utility industry. Most of the products

produced were custom made, depending on the size of gear, load requirements

and severity of application. My responsibility was to create bills of material and

item masters for all new products produced. Also to keep a file on all new

projects and maintain the integrity of the engineering database.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Successfully mounted and plumbed new hydraulic winches (both open

and closed loop) for bulldozers in the field to replace PTO driven

winches. The end user’s benefit is an infinitely variable speed control

as opposed to mere clutch “on/off” control.

• Designed a new light weight worm gear rotator for Gear Products made

of a steel bearing mounted to an aluminum (as opposed to a cast iron)

housing. The rotator assembly was required for actuating a cab on top

of a boom for spraying de-icer onto aircrafts in winter.

• Proposed a new supplier for the ten highest volume oil seals used on

PACCAR winches. This change yielded a cost savings of $35,000

annually for the company.

• Continuing Education:

Mobile Hydraulic Technology Course -- Bosch Rexroth June 2008

Gear Failure Analysis Course -- Univ. of Wis. at Milwaukee Mar. 2004

Pro Engineer Summer Class -- Tulsa Community College Summer 2003

Lean Manufacturing for Plant Profit Maximization -- NSU June 2002
