Fire Control 2nd Class (E-5) Weapons System Electromechanical Technician

Served internationally, forward-deployed, aboard USS Germantown, while troubleshooting, repairing,

operating, and maintaining air defense systems – electronic consoles, computers, and assemblies.

Lived three years abroad in Japan and the West Pacific, serving in support of foreign amphibious military

operations and exercises, while experiencing and enjoying different cultures during off-duty activity. Also

served in the Middle East, during the onset of the Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign.

Responsible for operation, training, inventory, repair, inspection, and maintenance of multi-million dollar

RAM (Rolling Airframe Missile), CIWS (Closed-In Weapon System), and SSDS (Ship’s Self Defense

System), LAUs (LAN Access Unit).
