EXPERIENCE

10/2008-

Master Chemical Corporation Perrysburg, OH

Present

Project leader/Plot specialist of energy efficiency of additives in ELID grinding with superabrasive wheels

• Design and plot drawings for fluid circulation system to fulfill the continuity requirements of

experimental ELID cycles.

• Modeled and analyzed the effects for different additives applied in ELID (electrolytic in-process

dressing) process in both advanced mathematical and statistical methodologies.

• Strong material management, comparing organic (TEA, MEA) with inorganic (KOH) alkaline additives

and demonstrated the former one serves better in ELID based on abundant DOE tests.

• Created Regression Models for different fluid additives. Demonstrated Monoethanolamine (MEA) the

most positive accelerant among three chemical additives and directed a more economic and effective way

in developing this kind of fluid product in grinding process.

• Frequent visits on chemical plant in Perrysburg and familiar with plant operations.

10/2007-

Saint-Gobain Group Corporate Valley Forge, PA

07/2008

Graduate Assistant/process analyst of grinding productivity in ELID grinding with superabrasive wheels

• Strong knowledge of properties, core utilities of ceramic materials like diamond and sapphire .

Analyzed the performance of the grinding wheel embedded with diamond, inspect the effect and interactions

of three significant parameters, Voltage, Wheel Velocity, Depth of Cut, in regression modeling method.

• Brought acoustic emission methodology into ELID grinding as a breakthrough on finishing productivity

assessment. Verified the breakage of the oxide layer and demonstrated the existence of the “Transition

Point” manifested as a rapid current pulse during ELID process.

03/2008 The University of Toledo, MIME Dept. Toledo, OH

Course project of Advanced differentiate equation acquaintance through SolidWorks™

• Plotted the ADE through SolidWorks™ and realized symbolization of the severe area when pressure or

heat applied onto a part.

09/2007 The University of Toledo, MIME Dept. Toledo, OH

Course Project of CNC machining applying G-code through IDEAS™

• CAM theory, CNC machining and the working function of G-code in IDEAS™.

• Completed drawing of bearings and turbines, simulated the moving function of turbines using IDEAS™ in 2 -

D views.

• Applied self-compiled G-code onto CNC machine and achieved desired patterns on wood and metal blocks

with different cutting tools.
