Manufactures building products including wallboard, ceiling tile, and rigid insulating board with 13 facilities across the US and
Canada.
Plant Manager
Led the Jacksonville Plant facility in all areas of 24X7 industrial manufacturing operation producing gypsum wall
board from gypsum ore and power plant scrubber produced gypsum. Directed production schedules, personnel
safety, environmental compliance, labor relations, union negotiations, product quality, budget and financial
management, equipment maintenance and capital projects. Supervised 6 senior level direct reports including the
plant controller, HR manager, shipping manager, engineer, production manager, and quality manager. Oversaw
project engineers, six sigma engineer, and sales order group.
Tasked with turning around an under-performing operation with ratings below industry averages and poorly trained
labor staff. Successfully brought the operation in line with industry standards for safety, quality, productivity, cost,
and reputation. Modernized and expanded the plant, obtained funding for equipment upgrades and 30% increase in
capacity. Completed upgrade projects on time and on budget. Led teams through a difficult merger with BPB,
reorganized staff, eliminated positions, and streamlined operations. Facilitated change management initiatives to
ensure maximum levels of production and quality.

• Reduced reject product and equipment downtime by 50%.
• Eliminated 90% of quality issues and settlement costs, resulting in <1 claim per 1000 orders.
