PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

State Attorney for 11th Judicial Circuit

Information Processing Operator II

(February 3, 1986 to May 31, 2006)

In this office which prosecutes criminal cases in Miami Dade County, Florida, I

word processed complex documents related directly to the prosecution of criminal

cases at different stages of development (i.e. Search Warrants, pleadings, Jury

Instructions, Grand Jury Memorandums, etc..)

Additionally, I created and updated other documents which supported the

prosecutorial function of the Office, such as the office wide telephone list, contact

data on local government officials and law enforcement officials, which entailed the

creation lengthy merge lists which were merged into formal formatted merge forms,

letters, envelopes, etc.

Also, this Office needed a large repository of pre-produced forms which only

necessitated variable information to be inserted and I updated and added to this

repository (before these forms were placed in a database program and while they

were accessible documents). This included forms with desktop publishing

elements.

I assisted our neighbor department with the processing of initial charging

documents (i.e. Informations and Discoveries), which were tied to a database and

not word processed.

Ending, I occasionally assisted the Training Officer by training fellow workers on

specific documents and/or procedures and directly assisted fellow workers with

preparation inquiries.

Florida Department of Corrections

Probation and Parole Services

(September, 1984 to January, 1986)

In this office which supervises probationers and parolees, I processed a large and

time sensitive quantity of legal documents relating to supervision of

probationers/parolees (i.e. Affidavits of Violation [Probation], Warrant Request of

Revocation [Parolees], etc

Additionally, during probationer/parole reporting time (first of the month), wherein

an overwhelming amount of said individuals attended or telephoned this office for

mandatory reporting, I assisted the receptionist during receptionist’s breaks (and

when incoming live and telephonic traffic became overwhelming for said

receptionist) by processing heavy walk-in probationer/parolee traffic and operating

a multi line telephone system.

Associated Abstractors

(1983)

This office was a real estate research firm.

I researched paper and computer records to find the last Warranty Deed of Record

and any encumbrances on a property.

Written and oral reports were then prepared.
