Designed and developed an Alumni Web portal in VB.NET that included functionality for social networking, job

postings, discussion forums, latest news and event management.

Emphasized on security features to include various levels of authentication and authorizations to handle the

complexities of a social networking site.

Data Warehousing of Sales Data of a Company January 08 – May 08

Designed a Data Warehouse that was used to convert data from a database into OLAP cube using SSIS packages

The application also calculated aggregations to optimize the query performance on the Warehouse

Expert System & Combinatorial Auction System January 08 – May 08

Implemented a Forward Chaining Expert System using an SQL Stored Procedure with a unique functionality being

exhibited by each table in the Database

Also Implemented an Auction System using an SQL Stored Procedure which was used to determine the lowest

acceptable bid in order to maximize the owner's profit.

JASIST Journal Management System August 07 – December 07

Designed and developed the journal management system using PHP and MySQL. It allowed journals to be updated

by authors and then validated by referees.

Developed features for the authors to authenticate themselves and upload their journals for peer review. The referees

then could review the journals assigned to them and the opinions are automatically updated in the respective

author’s record s.

Genetic Algorit h ms for Ga me Playing January 09 – May 09

Designed and developed the game of Mastermind using the concept of Genetic Algorithms

The application was coded using C# and the project compared results obtained from Genetic Algorithms with that of

Neural Network s

Project on Embedded Interfaces January 08 – May 08

Designed and developed embedded software for tangible interactive devices that could be the next generation of

interfaces for interacting with information available over the internet.

Constructed an interactive device from scratch to combine different pieces of music into a new one for a mobile

user. Device was built using RFIDs, Rotors, LCDs, Stepper motors etc and was run by custom built embedded

software.

Equity Trading Portfolio Manager January 07 – May 07

Designed an online application which was an interface for brokers and traders to interact with each other on the

stock market and execute operations like buying and selling of shares

The whole system was implemented using JSP as the front-end and Oracle as the back-end.
