Program manager for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey project includes responsibility for the budgets, engineering, construction and software

development for 8 major toll facilities and 2 host system sites. The project consists of 99 PC’s running independently of the dual Alpha 2100 running Oracle RDB host

located in NY and a secondary host for disaster recovery/host standby. I also maintain the Powerbuilder & Visual Basic applications written for this project along with

managing all daily operations under the system administration contract with 2 system administrators located in NY. In 1999 the contracted work included the

development of a new touch screen interface for manual tolls and a complete new host batch system on the Alpha’s and a reporting systems written in Powerbuilder

on the client workstations which was installed in the summer of 1999. One of the unique aspects of this Powerbuilder application is the integration of our image

review process allowing multi image .JPG zip files to be reviewed online simultaneously with the transactions. With these new systems complete all the software for

this multi million dollar contract has been completed and in production.

Manager of Documentation and QA

During tenure as documentation and QA manager, responsibilities included verification of proposal requirements to detailed software design and to complete

documentation of engineering and software specifications. My goal was to ensure that each project was developed in a manner consistent with Lockheed

commitments and that each component was tested prior to deployment.

Programming Lead for the Multi State One Stop Project

As programming lead, my duties included review of all design documents on both the One Stop PC Windows based portion and the Mainframe AS/400 repository.

Documentation included communications/network requirements for the AS/400 to PC, interfacing multiple database designs, AS/400 concepts and corporate

terminology. Establishing a solid working relationship with the project design staff in Phoenix and the Metairie development staff was critical to the success of the

project. I lead the development staff in Metairie and the design group in Phoenix against stringent project schedules. As the major lead on the project not only did I

design, code, implement and administer the project through completion. I also assigned all tasks to the design and development teams and developed the project life

cycle methodology so the project could be turned over to the Phoenix group for continued implementation. I developed the database schema for “WATCOM” and

“DB2” using a database design tool called “S Designor” and the front GUI interfaces in Powerbuilder 3x 5x. The application and database scripts are currently in

production to maintain the entire “DB2” and “WATCOM” databases on the AS/400 and PC environments in Phoenix and the user base continues to grow.

Sr. Programmer/Analyst for CALTRANS Project

I provided technical support for CALTRANS and other projects by monitoring Powerbuilder software releases and Hot Line support information. Worked closely with

the vendor to keep development staff equipped with the latest software release updates and software patch documentation. Researched most technical issues

encountered by the development staff during its first Powerbuilder development project “CALTRANS” by simulating the problem encountered before turning the

issue over to the vendor for investigation. This prudent approach proved to be quite beneficial in that most problems encountered were corrected in house without

vendor delays and/or intervention. Developed the static tables and several of the significant inquiry functions used in the Caltrans application along with

documentation and test scripts. Consistently provided PC support to the project lead and other staff developers on the development tools used “Powerbuilder” and

other general PC software. Developed several API functions to the Windows operating system for specialized functions needed by the application. Designed and

developed the image and correspondence processing modules using OLE object interfacing, the first such Powerbuilder interfaces created for this application. I also

acted in a configuration management role on the project. Providing much needed assistance to the project lead in monitoring disk and .PBL resource usage and

automated archive procedures.

and trained personnel. During the first few months the requests for our services were overwhelming. Unfortunately, due to some personal problems, we were forced

to close the business. I continued to handle twenty one clients at night and on weekends, and was able to satisfy all of my clients' computer service needs.
