Planning and Scheduling of Piping systems, equipment setting, testing and start up:
held the position of planner / scheduler for the contractor responsible for all piping fabrication
and installation as well as installation of the equipment. As the planner, I was responsible for
understanding the scope of work required for the installation of the piping systems and
equipment as well as the collateral scope for the civil, structural, architectural and electrical to
allow the development of a plan which identified and worked around potential conflicts. The
plan, developed into a detailed schedule was the base line for management and coordination of
the activities required to execute the scope of work. As conflicts occurred, work arounds were
developed to keep on schedule or recover schedule. Changes to the work scope adding scope
were evaluated, estimated and the impacts integrated into the work plan and schedule to reflect
the true scope of work to be executed. The plan included testing of subsystems in preparation
for commissioning and supported the overall commissioning plan.
