Responsible for recommending and planning use of new system features and hardware for new
products and servers to improve overall operation of systems (Solaris, RedHat, CentOS).
Communicate to vendors additional features or products needed and works with the business users
to institute system improvements. Establish standards for installation of products and system
components. Responsible for developing and advocate customary operating procedures around
the Storage Area Network infrastructure (Sun, Hitachi, Brocade). Responsible for
interfacing and leading storage performance improvements and implementation with database
administrators, production support, software developers and engineers to assist in providing
capacity usage, planning, and forecast future changes to the storage infrastructure. Conduct
routine hardware and software audits of servers for compliance with established standards and
policies, configuration guidelines and procedures. Develop and maintain a comprehensive SAN
architecture documentation including capacity planning and data disaster recovery
preparation. Facilitate and/or assist resolution to production issues and/or outages. Help in the
deployment of the company disaster recovery planning and final environment including remote
storage setup and administration. Act as technical lead in relocating 900 Tb of storage into a
new production datacenter with 0 down time. In charge as team leader for designing and

all Sun Solaris production servers as well as the planning, implementation and management of the
planning and setup of multiple UNIX platforms, including implementing and managing Sun
Cluster environments; help automated day-to-day processes using UNIX scripts (KSH, Bourne,
Perl, etc); lead the efforts of implementing and managing a centralized storage solution (EMC
CX300 – CX600 – CX700), Brocade, Veritas backup solution, HP Openview NNM; provide
ongoing system maintenance such as applying patches, allocating system space, ensuring backups
are completed and that all application residing on the systems are up and running to daily
