Managed 5-person Test Lab team with accountability for expanding existing lab and transforming operations into a

million-dollar testing facility in a 24/7 operations

Managed the warranty/returned audits and related processes; completed over 80 audits annually, selected from

random samples of “Warranty/Returns;” published findings in order to resolve issues; decreasing warranty cost

from 12% in 2000 to 3.4% in 2008

Analyzed, scheduled, and controlled Test Lab workload, average of 500 products yearly under a 4-phase repeat

testing procedure; met and exceeded all testing requirements while producing reports to be reviewed by submitter

within 5 to 10 days of 14-day turn-around

Designed and implemented a test lab database to efficiently control the projects until completed; within 5 years

projects increased from 100 to over 600 yearly; database reduced testing time from 284 to 120 hours without adding

Developed and executed a plan to address equipment water-cooling system overheating problem, which resulted in

downtime of 2+ hours per shift; met with water treatment contractor, identified problem, and presented to cost

reduction team/management; Recommendation approved and water consistently at prescribed temperature, saving

$156,000 annually in equipment downtime.

Engineering ME /Maintenance/Tooling Manager /Production Supervisor/Safety Coordinator

Created forecast and allocated annual budget while consistently under budget by $15,000-$30,000.

Managed, supervised, and led a high performing team three-shift maintenance/tooling/support group, which

consisted of 12 technicians and 3 model makers within a major manufacturing operation.

Directed and supervised the operation of assembly, sub-assembly, tooling, graphic, die cast, plastic injection,

packaging, tool crib, and a fully automatic assembly line.

Developed and implemented an analysis report to track oil quality samples for 12 plastic injection molding machines;

Equipment /Architectural and Electrical Designer/ Project Management

Designed complex machines, assembly-lines, designed the floor layout for a million-dollar testing facility, as well as

designed and renovated a 30,000 sq. ft. office layout, model shop, and testing facility.

Scheduled and coordinated work timetables with outside contractors, electrical and plumbing, to completion.

Designed and built over 100 semi-fully-automatic, multi-functional machines, replacing manual operations at a cost

of $50,000 each, increasing production by over 7,000 to 12,000 parts per 8-hour shift, reducing labor by $18,000 to

$40,000 annually per machine.

Managed the relocation of Packaging/Warehouse/Shipping/Warranty departments to newly built facility; organized,

scheduled, and managed various contractors.

Coordinated equipment move, reconnection, and insulation, as well as designed a new packaging off-load conveyor

system; project completed and operating 15 days ahead of schedule, saving $3 million in potential of lost revenue.

Designed both a line-guide bottom and a machine that provided a more efficient way to place/retain the line guide

from falling out of the fishing reel covers; utilization of the machine to date has produced over 47,500,000 units,

providing a cost reduction of $138,240 annually

Developed and designed a pricing tag for fishing reels that eliminated the problems of detachment during shipping,

handling or display; eliminated the need for wrapping pull ties around rod and reel, keeping combinations

together from the point of manufacturing to retail sale, increasing revenue from potential loss of sales; filed patent

on tag with the U.S. Patent Office.
