• Responsibilities included the management of projects, associates (DBA’s, Data Architects) and ensuring the
day to day operations of MetLife business processes. Team consisted of Data Architects, who created DDL
and maintained Erwin Data Models, for the implementation of source updates in support of the business to the
various databases.
• Responsible for the management of Database Administrators who supported, maintained, implemented/applied
source updates. Architectural platforms(some) included mainframe, Data Warehouse (STAR schema), Oracle
DBMS(AIX RISC servers), IBM UDB DB2, data modeling performed utilizing Erwin.

• Specific projects which I programmed/designed/implemented included the programmatic redesign of the Chart
of Accounts from 7 segments to 6 segments; creation of a process to automate Oracle’s Intercompany
Accounting process; descriptive flexfield functionality circumventing Oracle’s standard descriptive flexfield
process; customization(s) to simulate Oracle Projects without installing the module and creation of a global
Paymaster application, integrated within Oracle Financials.
• Projects managed included forms, customizations, upgrade/installation of Markview’s Imaging Software; and
the management of custom software as applicable to a globalization project in which to consolidate multiple
Oracle instances into a single instance, worldwide.
• The globalization project was a collaborative effort of all companies (Carnival Corporation) with a
consolidation and streamlining of business processes(Worldwide – some locations included Australia,
Germany, England, etc); all bundled into a single, functional Finance application.
