Dear Human Resources Manager:
The purpose of this letter and attached résumé is to request that you consider me for employment
in your company as Technical Director. I feel that I am excellently qualified for this position
and would be proud to be a member of your development team.
As a professional Scientist/Researcher with over fifteen years of industrial experience I have a
broad knowledge base on the availability, testing, selection and handling of materials which are
of interest to your company. I have worked with scores of polymers, monomers, reinforcements
and additives for their suitability in new and/or improved composites and coatings. In doing this
I have brought new materials from the lab all the way through to full scale industrial processing
and production.
My academic and industrial research includes topics such as polymer to metal adhesion
promotion, polymer inter-coat adhesion, fiber/reinforcement evaluations and specialty coatings
formulation. I have produced syntactic foams, polymeric sealants and tailored catalyst formulas.
This type of work has helped me acquire excellent technical writing skills.
Although I have recently moved to Grapevine, TX this will also make it possible for me to
relocate again in a quick and efficient manner should that be necessary.
I am presently able to travel on short notice and welcome any opportunity to speak with you in
person about your objectives and how I may contribute to their accomplishment. Thank you for
your time and consideration; I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
Paul B. Wright
