Recruited by Star Cutter Company and reported directly to the CFO. Brought on board to asses the procurement processes
for six locations and make any necessary changes to improve efficiency and update processes in procurement, inventory,
materials management, and logistics. Review all existing corporate contracts for services including licensing agreements
(software and technology), telecommunications, vehicle fleet services, corporate insurance, facility management, and office
equipment. Enter into new negotiations for expiring contracts and/or attempt to renegotiate existing agreements.
Executed responsibilities well and made key contributions in less than 15 months. Due to the severe economic conditions,
the company was forced to make large and very painful reductions in headcount.
Developed project plans based on corporate strategy and discretionary assessment; Set priorities, contributed, assigned,
monitored, and reported on KPM’s and special projects
• Negotiated significant savings on market sensitive raw materials and re-opened an existing contract to renegotiate
additional savings based on newly awarded work

Frimo Inc, Wixom, MI
Reported directly to the Director of Engineering in the US and the CFO of Global operations in Germany. Hired to develop
the procurement department for the expansion of business operations in the US. While not part of the original plan, Frimo
acquired two additional companies that became available due to market conditions. Responsible for successfully creating a
comprehensive procurement program in an accelerated timeframe.
• Worked in concert with Europe location and negotiated significant savings with a common international supplier by
leveraging international business practices, collective spend, and currency exchange rates
• Formalized a two year agreement on a critical raw material (specialized aluminum) and realized a significant savings
while the producer price index for this material was increasing
• Created a comprehensive procurement and logistics program for three companies that were combined into one, which
required the development of common formats to accurately communicate material and/or service specifications to the
procurement department
• Developed a research model, conducted a best practice survey, and used results to develop and implement domestic
and international transportation program

SPX Corporation – Ryken Tube Manufacturing, Walled Lake, MI
After relocating near my immediate family, I was hired by SPX / Ryken Tube manufacturing as a buyer / planner to
manage the large diameter FCSD (Ford Customer Service Division) program procurement requirements. Shortly after
becoming employed, SPX realized my significant potential and elevated my status to manager. FCSD decided to begin
resourcing the program to a competitor, which placed my position in jeopardy. I subsequently sought alternate
employment. SPX divested Ryken Tube and the subsidiary is no longer in operation.
• Negotiated cost contained agreements for low volume service part components
• Negotiated stocking agreements with suppliers based on weighted forecasts to assure supply continuity while reducing
inventory
• Assessed MRP system constraints and wrote new theory queries for IT to revise systems to simplify MRP report
analysis
• Met aggressive corporate inventory reduction goals
• Worked to reduce and improve consigned inventory utilization of high cost, long lead time catalytic converters

Recruited by Mayfair Plastics to address several key procurement needs. Upon accomplishing those needs, I resigned my
position to relocate to an area close to my immediate family to assist with the care of a family member.
• Assessed MRP/ERP system problems and in conjunction with IT and the software supplier. Issues were resolved
through collaborative efforts
• Negotiated improved pricing on engineered and stock resins while feed stock (oil and natural gas) was significantly
increasing
• Reduced raw material and finished goods inventory level by reducing safety stock levels and flowing inbound raw
material to match production capacity

Air Way Automation offered me a position after I left Excel Corporation and moved to Northern Michigan. Air Way
Automation was a prior supplier to Excel and I was well acquainted with their organization, equipment, customer base, and
many employees.
• Acted as primary liaison between customer and organization in management of special equipment manufacturing

• Developed and maintained MS Project Gantt charts for complex equipment manufacturing projects
