Refinery Manager, Savannah Sugar Refinery
Recruited to lead company's largest manufacturing and distribution operation, reporting to the VP
of Operations. Responsible for managing a union-free, 270 hourly associate, 24/7 operation.
Direct reports include two production managers, a shipping manager, quality and HR managers,
and two maintenance managers. Refinery produces 5,500,000 # of sugar/day, and contributes
$275 million to corporate revenue. Major accomplishments include:
• Achieved team ownership in behavior based safety, incident reporting and hazard
analysis resulting in a TRR of 2.0.
• Achieved OHSA VPP Status, by implementing process safety management system.
• Achieved food safety standards with certifications in AIB and SQF.
• Drove certification of ISO 14001/18001, thus achieving zero environmental fines.

• Delivered Commissioning, Qualification and Validation resulting in on-time start-up of the
plant.
• Set up new plant teams and leadership for the green field site.
• Set up pillar based manufacturing; autonomous maintenance, organizational capability,
and focused improvement to achieve 85% plant efficiency.
• Delivered key results through pillar charters, 90 day plans and internal audits.
