Administrator of SOC

Reengineered the Billing Office which is expected to result in a thirty percent decrease of present A/R

days and was the front line leader for the implementation of new EMR system.

Renegotiated existing managed care contracts for maximization of reimbursement.

Negotiated purchase of and managed one OB/GYN practice for HCMH. Recruited four OB/GYN’s to

serve as providers for the practice.

Re-engineered Internal Medicine practice owned by the hospital which resulted in a positive net operating

income after four years of ownership.

Served as chairman of the Physician Managed Care Contract Review Committee for 19 medical group

practices; members of an integrated PHO.

Developed all clinic budgets, performed operational assessments, and served as a consultant for all 19

PHO member clinics (35 total physicians); re: Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology

Managed one Family Practice and one Urology office outside my duties as MSO executive director.

Worked with several other consultants performing medical practice valuations, operational

through proper staffing, corrected claims coding and collections management.

Managed eight rural health clinics, 25 physicians, four mid-level providers, opened two Women’s Health

Centers, recruited one FP, one Obstetrician, one Pediatrician, & 3 Physician Assistant’s.

Served as business and managed care contracting agent for the hospital.

DAUTERIVE HOSPITAL, New Iberia, Louisiana 1993 – 1994

A 196-bed acute care, skilled nursing, behavioral health, and acute rehab facility.

Associate Administrator

Served as administrative representative to hospital medical staff, physician practice consultant

(Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, and Cardiology ), and assisted with the development of an MSO

network of four hospitals; to include Cath Lab development and management.

Ancillary departments increased operating margins by 20% utilizing TQM principles. Managed six

ancillary departments re-engineering programs; formulated network of rural health clinics in

three parishes, each included primary care, occupational, rehabilitative and sports medicine

A ten-physician group comprised of primary care and emergency department physicians.
