Enterprise Purchasing Manager, Indirect Materials and Services (2005 to current)
-Spearheaded several corporate teams that established long term supply strategies, leveraged
purchases across the six divisions of BorgWarner, and reduced the corporate supply base.

Divisional Purchasing Manager, Indirect Materials and Services (2001 - 2004) - Led
divisional indirect purchasing strategies for several North American facilities and also numerous
corporate wide projects. Achievements are as listed:
• Created an organizational structure for indirect materials that combined purchasing functions
throughout the Division and ultimately allowed for resource reductions.
• Implemented purchasing cards to improve low dollar transaction productivity.
Purchasing Manager (1998 - 2000) - Responsible for managing $50 million of expenditures at
the Borg Warner Frankfort production facility with the following results:
• Implemented an integrated supply solution for Maintenance, repair, & operating supplies.
• Created a divisional procurement & materials employee development program.
• Launched e-procurement initiatives with MRO and production suppliers.
• Established cross-functional supplier councils to address key business issues with a segment of
key suppliers. The Council gave suppliers an important role in creating Borg Warner
purchasing practices prior to implementation with the supply base.
• Developed purchasing metrics to monitor strategic divisional goals.
Senior Production Material Buyer (1997 - 1998) - Appointed new business launch
coordinator with the responsibilities of supplier selection, supplier development, and
implementation of new products. Accomplishments are as listed:
• Created a divisional annual Supplier Summit to educate suppliers on company strategies and
improve supplier/ customer relationships. The Summit is now an annual event for the
division.
• Procured components globally from Asian and European suppliers, with frequent trips to both
regions.
Production Material Buyer (1996-1997) - Lead buyer for twenty-five of the Bellwood Plant’s
most critical component and raw material suppliers, including two global divisional suppliers.
Established cross-functional supplier selection and product launch teams.
Lead Production Supervisor (1993-1995) - Managed the assembly process of a three shift
$70 million product line. The position directly supervised an operations staff of fifty people,
indirectly another fifty. Designed and implemented core production teams which led to a 30%
improvement in productivity, 100% delivery, and reduced overtime.
Financial Analyst (1992- 1993) - Coordinated the annual budgeting and long range planning
process. Appointed Team Leader for Honda, General Motors, and Ford pricing development
teams leading to improved product pricing. Performed manufacturing cost studies that led to cost
improvements and new capital investments.
