Development of Enterprise Workflows in SharePoint
Project 1:
The project involved setting up SharePoint as Enterprise Portal and
Description
development of customized workflows using Windows Workflow
foundation (3.0) and deploying them in SharePoint Server 2007. User
Interface for workflows were developed using InfoPath 2007 and were
deployed on SharePoint utilizing Forms Services so that the InfoPath
forms could be used from browser to take care of employees who did not
have InfoPath 2007 installed on their desktops. The construction included
workflows for typical enterprise functions like Leave Requisition,Travel
Requisition, Conference Room booking, Employee claims etc. The
workflows required approval at various stages which was done by sending
emails and leveraging features of SharePoint’s tight integration with
Microsoft Outlook. The workflows supported serial or parallel processing

Trading Partner Integration using BizTalk Server
Project 2:
This project was a prototype built for a client who is one of the largest retail
chain of stores in Sweden with a big network of vendors who supply
products. The client wanted us to develop a prototype which involved
integration with its large number of trading partners (vendors) for exchange
of Invoice information in either EDIFACT or SVEFACT formats. The
invoices data resided in clients IBM Mainframe system. The prototype
involved utilizing BizTalk Server act as a gateway for exchange of
information. It used BizTalk Adapter for DB2 along with Microsoft Host

EDI document interchange in a Supply Chain scenario using BizTalk
Project 5:
This client is a multi-billion dollar online retailer of software and hardware
products. It uses a legacy system running in Cobol on HP3000
environment for processing orders. This system can only export data in
flat-files. This client deals with two vendors who accept documents in EDI
formats only. These vendors have establishments in 4 different places
(Austria, Bahn, Germany, and Netherlands) hence the client needs to
generate a customized order message for each of these establishments.
The documents that exchanged are Order, Order Response and Dispatch
Advices. The client orders are required to be converted from flat-file into
Description
EDIFACT D97A standard and against an order, the vendor respond with
Order Response and Dispatch Advices which need to be converted from
EDIFACT D97A standard to flat-file formats as required by legacy system.
BizTalk Mapper was used extensively for transformation between the EDI
and flat-file format. The orders were required to be uploaded at vendors
FTP server and the responses to orders were required to be downloaded
from the vendor’s server again. Hence BizTalk FTP adapter was used
extensively for uploading and downloading of these files
