o Following a contractors default on a Surety Bond I negotiated with all
subcontractors to return to the project to complete the contracted
scope of work. This included mechanical, plumbing, electrical, marble
and stone, glazing and roofing contractors. This contract, including
the 2500+ item punch list, was completed by the subcontractors
involved under their original contracts thus saving the surety the
expense of re-letting the scope of work left incomplete by the failed
General Contractor.
o When asbestos was found after the contract was signed, I negotiated
with a company to remediate the asbestos as part of the demolition
scope. By combining projects I was able to save the general
contractor and developer over $80,000.00 in remediation costs.
o A hurricane damaged 227 rooms, the pool deck and tiki bar, balconies,
windows, doors and roof of a Radisson Beach Hotel. I managed to see
that the project was completed within 15 days (half the time of other
estimates) thereby allowing the hotel to continue with a major wedding
that was 100% booked.
