Recruited to open five new stores in Central Ohio. Senior HR manager in

three different stores, this provided experience in diverse HR settings

with issues including; harassment and sexual harassments investigations,

ADA, Workers Compensation, Unemployment, EEOC, FMLA, Alternative Conflict

Resolution, New HR policy initiatives, Training and Development, HRIS.

Key Results:

< Recruit, interview and selected applicants to ensure a quality

workforce; while providing equal employment opportunities.

Recruiting activities included: attending job fairs, placing ads,

and contact development. Conducted all New Hire screening and

orientations.

< Provided HR direction and leadership for both department managers

and team members. Responsibility for 135 to 175 team members,

including 10 to 15 department managers.

< Coached department managers on performance appraisals and

progressive discipline to ensure fair and consistent application

of company policies and procedures; while ensuring compliance with

federal and state employment laws.

< Trained all the department managers in Central Ohio's on

Behavioral Interviewing Techniques, allowing them to be involved

in the interview process. This initiative resulted in reduced

turnover, through managers' impute in hiring decision and their

increased commitment to new team members.

< Maintained human resource records, assuring confidentiality of all

information, accuracy records, and no laws were violated.

Administered all leaves including; FMLA, vacation, sick leave and

personal time tracking. Stores received an "A" rating on internal

audit.

< Managed the People Soft HRMS 9 system; including hires, terms, pay

rate increases, and progressive discipline. Extensive experience

in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.

Performed weekly payroll, both salaried and hourly.

< Implemental in the installation and introduction of a new time,

attendance, and payroll system.
