OBJECTIVE
I have worked as a Quality Engineer for twenty-two years (1987 - 2009) in an automotive
environment, I have also been a Quality Supervisor and a plate lay-out specialist. I have
worked very closely with all departments in the manufacturing environment. I would like to
return to an environment where I feel I can use my skills and abilities as an Engineer in

I am a Quality Engineer over 1st tier assembly of automotive components which include door
latches, hood locks, door strikers, door and rear gate hinges. I represented these products to
our company’s customers, Subaru, Toyota, Nissan, and Chrysler. I also represent our
company for the quality of our parent companies products shipped from our Frankfort felicity.
I am responsible for control plans, Process FMEA’s, any customer required documentation,
floor process checks and scrap processing/analysis. I represent my company at customer
locations to work and correct any non-conformities. I present monthly presentations
regarding quality of my customers and scrap analysis to upper management. I work with
production and design engineering to launch new product where I present our company to our
customer regarding quality and all quality documentation.

I am a Quality Engineer over plastic injection molding and assembly lines where we produce
plastic intake manifolds for the automotive industry (Tier 1 to Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota,
Nisson, etc.). I am currently the Quality Engineer over the most complex, highest volume V8
manifold in our plant, both molding and assembly, where I have set up the control plans and
all gauging. I also have experience over lines that mold, assemble, and paint ornamental
components (wheel covers and engine covers) for the automotive industry. This
responsibility requires working with production, manufacturing, and engineering to produce
cost effective, quality components to be delivered on time. I work with suppliers to bring in
quality materials to our facility (supplier PPAP’s and rejections). I also have direct contact
with customers in presenting PPAP’s, heading up 8D’s, and launching new products (APQP).

QUALITY CONTROL SUPERVISOR (JUNE 1979 - NOV. 1986)
AlliedSignal Automotive Truck Brake Systems (TBS) Frankfort, Kentucky 40601

Quality Engineer over the assembly of the air compressor (used in the truck brake air system,
one to four cylinder compressors) and part of the initial launch team over this automated line
brought into the Frankfort plant in July, 1999; responsible for many of the Poka-Yokes and
set up for all of the daily checks in this automated line; publish and analyze the control plan,
flow charts and the PFEMA; introduce new compressors to customer (PPAP - initial sample)
and analyze and follow up customer returns; track defects and work with assembly team;
work closely with manufacturing engineering in procurement of production machines, run-
offs at both builders plant site and Frankfort facility; work with gauging and manufacturing
processes to ensure quality product; design and procured the majority of the gauging within
the plant; program and measure with coordinate measuring machines (Zeiss and Cordax). As
a Six Sigma Black Belt over the crankshaft department I greatly decreased flow through time,
reduced non-conformities (PPM’s), and reduced machine set up time.
