Managed Rapid Prototyping for multiple customers designing and creating 3D files on Unigraphics,

Pro/E, SolidWorks and Auto-CAD using (surfaces, solids, parametric modeling); then creating the 3D file

into prototypes as desired by the customer using stereolithography (SLA),fused deposition modeling

(FDM) and metal sintering RP machines. Designed prototype-tooling molds for plastic injection,

investment casting wax design, quick-cast investment, prototype extrusion, rubber injection mold design

and metal sintering. Presented rapid prototyping report at a national conference in Pittsburg on (Quoting,

Tool Designer 5/1990 - 9/1995 Dayton Technologies, Monroe, Ohio

Designed 121 PVC profile extrusion dies and calibration tooling sets. Designed and fabricated a

changeover system that reduces the changeover time by 85%, a new die heating system and a “non-

removable mandrel” for extrusion dies. Coordinated/developed new engineering tooling standards and

constructed new procedures and processes for tooling workflow and trainer for extrusion tooling design,

drafting and Unigraphics software. Team leader for 2 prototype PVC extrusion tooling projects and 3

continuous improvement teams.
