Metromix is a national, entertainment brand. We focus on answering the question "Where are you going tonight?".

Our demographic is 21-30 and the ever-growing "aspirational" (out of the demo but still very social and into finding

t he very best places to go out and experiencing all that their city has to offer.)

As the Interactive Design Manager I am responsible for the front end mark up for the network (50 markets and

g rowing) CSS, HTM L, HA M L, and the visual design of not only the site but the brand.

I support our national network affiliates by managing several contractor designers and do a large amount of creative

execution myself. I provide f lash banner ads, print ads, site design, and oversee the creation broadcast television

spots, viral videos, and am heavily involved in the creation of new products.

I a m very interested in viral and mobile marketing. I have a very successful side project called "Sleepyurbanite.com"

t hat has landed me an appearance on The Today Show. I am an oil painter, and lead singer of an alt-pop, indie rock

band called The Locals.

As Creative Director I met wi th clients early in the sales process, as well as throughout the design/re-design process.

I w rote creative briefs, providearchitecture suggestions, and work with the client to understand the goals of their

online presence. I also created and presented rough/comprehensive designs upon their completion.

A long with the traditional duties of Creative Director, I also carried a

substantial production workload (coding templates in XHTML, & CSS from the

mock ups)

as well as their section of the 150 partner

sites. Apartments.com is the thi rd most

v isited rental site on the web. The site is

a lso a 2005 Peoples' Choice Webby Award

I was continually challenged to design a balanced site that meets both the user's

needs as well as those of our advertisers and partners. I created all the

v isual elements of their extensive database driven web site as well as banner

advertisements, new product brand identities, email newsletters and product

u pdates.

6/02-Present Freedman Seating Company, 4545 w Augusta, Chicago I L

Web Designer (Freelance): Freedman Seating is a manufacturing company. They came

t o me to create an online presence for them that would be accessible to their

clientele (a fairly "low -tech" demographic), but also push some area of their

b usiness into a new marketplace on the web. I t is an interesting challenge as

many of their users are still using rather outdated browsers. All in all, this

is a fun Website to work on, as I'm given a large degree of lati tude creatively

a nd am often asked to create the marketing message as well as the visual

elements to convey i t. We've taken their website from merely an online

b rochure, to an interactive resource for their clients.
