$1 billion annual budget. Hired to develop and implement a strategic HR
function by leading a team of 35 HR professionals through a transition of
tactical HR support to strategic business partnership with lab business
units. Also, lead the talent acquisition team of twelve employees.

The Nuclear Pharmacy Services (NPS) is the market leader in providing
radiopharmaceuticals and Positron Emission Tomography (PET), specialty
pharmacy services and products used in the diagnosis, treatment and
management of heart disease, cancer and other disorders. The Branded
Pharmaceuticals/3PL is an intermediary between manufacturers and providers.
The company purchases, warehouses and distributes branded and generic drugs
and blood plasma products and offers additional services including logistic
solutions, storing and tracking supplies, and managing returns and recalls
on products.
Responsible for providing strategic HR programs and services as follows:
< Implemented communication and work/life programs in the NPS business,
resulting in the highest Voice of Employee Engagement and Management
Effectiveness scores across Cardinal Health.
< Led a multi-functional team of 20 managers in the development of a
Career Roadmap (wage structure and career development) process for
Pharmaceutical and Clinical positions across the organization
culminating in 3,000 positions being properly defined, leveled and
placed in job families with defined career paths for managers to utilize
in discussions with employees.
< Key member of team that implemented Lean Six Sigma (LSS) into our
business units. Completed a comprehensive LSS training and sponsored
two major projects while participating as a subject matter expert on
several Kaizen events, with one program realizing annualized savings of
$500,000.
< Directed due diligence efforts and integrated three acquisitions over a
12-month period resulting in the retention of the majority of the
acquired workforce including key technical and management positions.
< In response to employee retention issues, redesigned management
incentive program changing measurements from year-end budget results to
year over year operating income achievements, which provided for
increased incumbent participation from 35% to 72%.
