Responsible for the financial and MIS functions for a medical device
manufacturer with annual sales of $200 million and 2300 employees. Primary
emphasis was to restore financial reporting accuracy and controls after an
internal audit revealed critical shortcomings that lead to the termination
of the previous Controller. These accomplishments include:

Responsible for the financial and MIS functions for a medical device
manufacturer with annual sales of $90 million and 480 employees. Primary
emphasis was to restore financial reporting accuracy after a merger of
three plants to the Commerce facility. These accomplishments include:
. Working with Materials and Production, increased inventory
accuracy. Monthly inventory adjustments
have been reduced from $600 M to less than $50 M. The physical
inventory write off was reduced from $270 M to $28 M.
. Converted to Kendall financial reporting systems. Worked with
managers to develop the first departmental budgets. Implemented
the Kendall Plant Performance Report. First Kendall budget book
prepared and distributed to management. Thoroughly scrubbed the
asset and liability accounts to start FY'03 with a clean start.
. Significantly improved financial forecasting accuracy. First
quarter FY'03 manufacturing variance was favorable for first time
in over two years.
. Reviewed BOM's and Routings. Converting Routings to a system that

Responsible for the financial and MIS functions for a medical device
manufacturer with annual sales of $60 million and 400 employees. Most
notable accomplishments have been in the management information area, which
was necessary due to the antiquated systems in place and the integration
with the Kendall systems. These accomplishments include:
Developed a 65 node local area network connecting our AS400, AS36, and the
corporate wide area network. This involved installation of fiber optics
connections, upgrading numerous PC's and installation of software to
connect PC's to both local and corporate main frames, and to access E-mail
systems.
Converted a manual general ledger system to an automated system linking the
general ledger, accounts payable, purchasing and inventory systems.
Reduced month-end closings from five to three days.
Implemented an automated Time and Attendance system, streamlining the
payroll function.

Company sold in 1996, Administrative functions were transferred to new
headquarters.

Responsible for the financial operations for an international group of six
corporations with annual sales of $38 million and 500 employees. As a
manufacturer and direct marketer of custom printing and other products,
this group has a very intensive transaction level, which includes over
350,000 invoices per year and a customer base numbering in the hundreds of
thousands. In addition, responsible for the standard cost and inventory
systems that have over 5,000 SKU's, and supervised a staff of 11.
4. Reduced inventory discrepancies to less than .1 percent, while
improving reporting and cutoff accuracy.
5. Through continued training of the accounts receivable staff,
discrepancies between the A/R system and the general ledger were
reduced by 90 percent.

Reported to the President, responsible for all financial and management
information activities for a manufacturer with annual sales of over $30
million. Major emphasis was on cash management, accurate product costing,
cost forecasting, and financial institution reporting and relations. Other
duties included; financial modeling and cost analysis, preparation of
federal and state tax returns, credit approval, and budgeting.
