with the Architect, identified and resolved discrepancies prior to
construction, resulting in significant cost savings to the owner. Executed

Project Engineer - A.K. Steel Contract, Rockport, IN
A $20 million reinforced concrete construction contract for a new steel
mill and waste water treatment plant. In excess of 10,500 tons of
reinforcing steel was placed, with over 85,000 cubic yards of concrete
formed, placed, and finished. Construction work included foundations,
retaining walls, pedestals, vertical shafts, columns, beams and slabs on
and above grade. Reviewed shop drawings for compliance with structural
drawings. Monitored the quality control of construction work to insure
compliance with the contract documents. Documented all work requests by
the general contractor that fell beyond the original contract documents and
submitted subsequent invoices to the general contractor for reimbursement.
