Masco Contractor Services (MCS) is one of largest providers of installed
products for homebuilders across the United States with 220 locations,
3,500 fleet units, and 6,500 employees. MCS is part of the multi-billion
dollar installation and other services segment of Masco Corporation. Masco
Corporation (NYSE: MAS) is an $11.8 billion leading manufacturer of home
improvement and building products, as well as a leading provider of
services.
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer (2008-2009)
. Directed a restructuring to reduce headcount, optimize the fleet, and
consolidate facilities to achieve maximum market coverage which
resulted in over $150 million in annual savings.
. Developed an effective partnership with the Fleet Director to pilot a
third party fleet maintenance program whose goals are to reduce total
cost by 10%, and reduce liabilities for DOT violations and accidents.
Program is currently being piloted in over 15 operating locations.
. Implemented scorecards to track key performance indicators for
departments, operations and strategic initiatives. The scorecards
standardized reporting of key indicators and created visibility of
areas for improvement. Actual to expected results were highlighted
using a heat matrix and action plans were created for underperforming
indicators.
. Conducted regional meetings and reviews communicating the company's
vision and strategy which resulted in a more aligned and focused

. Developed strategy and direction with the VP of Purchasing to drive
the negotiations between the company and product vendors. Successful
pricing and terms negotiations resulted in over $10 million in annual

. Led a sales initiative by instituting a project management team to
coordinate marketing, sales, operations and training. Over $9 million
in new contracts were secured in the first 120 days. The project is
ongoing.

. Led the development of a three year product strategy based on customer
and product segmentation to increase selling margins by over 200 basis
