Report directly to the President of the Corporation. Manage all aspects of
interfacing with Aerospace customers, quoting their requirements, and
managing the program through completion. Responsible for setting training
objectives, quality and delivery expectations for all areas to include;
Oven and Auto-claves, Composite lay-up, trimming and assembly of aerospace
composites, tooling requirements for new and existing projects using
internal tooling shop and external sources as required, and CNC machining
of composite components. I am the main interface between engineering and
manufacturing on new product introduction to insure the timely delivery of

Managed and led a staff of 2 engineers, 5 technical associates and 38
indirect reports, with responsibilities to produce all the machined and
fabricated components for an International producer of Dental equipment.
Assess, and improve overall quality levels, on-time delivery, health, and
safety aspects.
Reduced the internal quality assurance expenses by 25% utilizing SPC
concepts, while simultaneously putting a Set-up reduction program in place
that drove down delivery time to our customers by 30%, and increased our
capacity by 25%.
Implemented a Tooling Management program utilizing tooling suppliers and
Kan Ban management of the tool crib, which in turn reduced tooling costs by
15%.
Set-up an MRP driven Kan-Ban finished goods inventory system which allowed
us to reduce delivery times to our customers to shipping time only, and
reduced overall inventory by 50%.
Sr. Manufacturing Engineer -Machining Processes 9/97 -9/02
Managed and led a staff of 4 engineers, 2 production supervisors, and 60
production associates in the manufacture of CNC machined components, welded
fabrication, and powder coated parts for Dental Equipment. Projects
included new tooling introduction, various tooling improvements,
implementation of statistical process control program, new equipment
introduction, and installation of predictive maintenance program. Exceeded
the fiscal year production plan by 10% while holding expenses 2% under a
total budget of $5.7M.
Successful implementation of ISO 9002 certification program in two years
for both the machining division and the assembly division.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer 12/93 - 9/97
Lead the engineering team in new product introduction, Design for
Manufacturability, Capital Equipment selection, justification and
procurement including budget and cost justification. Lead the design and
production of fixtures, tooling, automated pneumatic and hydraulic handling
systems for CNC Machining Centers, and Creep Feed grinding. Performed all
Smart-Cam part programming and initial set-up of Mazak CNC Machining
Centers. I was responsible for new product design for wood processing
equipment. Awarded US Patent # 5,511,597. This enabled the company to
increase sales from 10M to 20M/year over a two year period. I developed all
the machining processes and fixtures for new products, trained associates
on process control utilizing SPC methodology. Introduced Creep feed
grinding technology into production and integrated a pull system from
finished goods inventory which reduced inventory by 30% and improved
delivery to customers from two weeks to three days.

Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities included assessing needs for tooling changes, design of
tools and fixtures, design and programming of automated assembly machinery,
supervision of the R&D tool shop and it's two tool makers, project
management for all new tooling both internal and external, design of test
fixtures, formulation of process sheets, training in the use of tools, test
fixtures, processes, assembly line balance studies, and pull manufacturing
setup.
Implemented one piece flow into the assembly line utilizing automated
assembly fixtures and Kaizen training which increased production by 50%,
eliminated rework, and decreased labor by 25%. Project management of new
product introduction, including design for manufacture, design for Assembly
teams with cross functional members from management, customer service,
engineering, and production.
