EXPERIENCE
The Ohio State University: Precision Measurement & Control Lab, Columbus,
OH
Research Assistant, 2008-2009
- Developed the mathematical model of 3-D magnetic tweezers, built the
FEM model by ANSYS /APDL and analyzed the magnetic field, force field,
and the controllability of working volume. Obtained the parameters of
the model using Matlab/Optimization toolbox.
- Applied the existing 2-D magnetic tweezers to cell mechanics research
(sponsored by NSF), including preparation of cell sample, operation of
inverted/confocal microscope, incubator.
Precision Navigation & Control Research Center, Tsinghua University,
Beijing, China
Research Assistant, 2006-2008
Permanent Magnet Synchronous Torque Motor (PMSM) Design and Its Vector
Control (for Chinese Navy)
- Completed the whole system design, manufacture, and assembly, and the
prototype motor was followed by the Xi'an Micro-motor Research
Institute
- Optimized the magnetic field of PMSM using ANSYS
- Designed and implemented a mechanical turntable for the PMSM, used a DC
torque motor to measure the torque of the PMSM
- Presented and realized a novel approach of motor coil manufacturing,
designed two sets of specific mechanical clamps; applied for a National
Defense Patent(200710160752.4)
- Implemented a system of Vector Control, using DSP(TMS320F2812)
