Began as an accountant reporting to the Vice
President of Finance. Duties included reconciling
bank accounts, filing sales tax reports, crown tax
reports, depreciation schedules, projection of LIFO
inventories and computation, and filing of various
state and federal reports. Assisted with filing of
reports to SEC such as 10K, 10Q, 8K, etc. Assisted
with preparation of annual report and proxy material
for stockholders. Worked on verifying accuracy of
monthly financial statements. Supervised
approximately fourteen people in various
departments: payroll, accounts payable, vending and
a small data processing department. Worked closely
with service bureau on scheduling of work and design
of any new program or modification of old programs.
Promoted to controller in 1979.
