PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

LYONDELLBASELL INDUSTRIES, Pasadena & Alvin, Texas . 1989-Present

One of the world's largest manufacturers of polyolefin materials for a wide

range of industrial applications.

Material Coordinator / Planner (2006-Present)

Serve as liaison between the Maintenance, Operations and Purchasing

Departments. Conduct materials planning to obtain the tools, materials and

services needed to complete priority 1 & 2 jobs in a timely fashion. Build

thorough work plans, which involved providing special instructions and

required documentation (such as MOC & QAQC forms, piping schematics, etc);

defining required skill crafts and durations; and developing an optimal

logic for operations. Bid for third party services, negotiate contracts and

review outline agreements with existing vendors in addition to promptly

updating requisitions, placing purchase orders and tracking parts to ensure

compliance with production schedules. Assist third party service providers

with coordinating some their projects, which involves handling change

orders, reviewing work order backlogs, planning a list for duplicates and

grouping notifications into a single order so as to optimize resource

utilization and ensure compliance with the schedule requirements of the

process units. Solicit and leverage feedback on completed jobs to identify

and resolve planning and work inefficiencies.

. Reduced overhead costs by successfully controlling the annual expenses

related to Asset Maintenance Programs, including all painting, steam

trap, freeze protection, drainage system, building/roof repair and CUI

projects.

. Partnered with the Production / Maintenance Coordinator (PMC) to verify

that high-cost work orders provided sufficient return on investments

relative to the current business environment.

Maintenance Project Coordinator / Facilities Supervisor (2004-2006)

Planned, budgeted and managed all plant maintenance and capital improvement

projects to maintain the safe and cost-effective operation of the large

chemical plant. Oversaw all facility maintenance operations, which involved

maintaining 84 plant vehicles; coordinating and maintaining records of

changes to the building structure; scheduling road and grounds maintenance

activities as well as HVAC, janitorial and pest control services. Leveraged

with building contractors, service providers and equipment vendors. Used

SAP enterprise systems to order all necessary materials and prioritize

plant maintenance work orders. Partnered with third-party contractors to

ensure compliance with all Maintenance Operation Workflow Process (MOWP)

Supervisor tasked with obtaining permits, conducting field reviews and

providing performance feedback to contractors.

Production / Maintenance Coordinator (2002-2004)

Acted the primary liaison between the Production and Maintenance

Departments tasked with maintaining all assets in a process unit. Reviewed

all maintenance work requests to identify, analyze and ensure compliance

with all business requirements, production needs and budget constraints.

Represented the Operations team throughout the entire maintenance process

to ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations

and Preventative Maintenance (PM) procedures. Utilized SAP plant

maintenance systems and office-based computer software to effectively plan

and coordinate all maintenance projects.

. Gained approval from the Operations Department to institute a new

Maintenance Operation Work Process (MOWP) after demonstrating the

significant cost savings generated from implementation.

. Leveraged a thorough understanding of plant chemical processes, operating

economics and MOWP requirements to support all chemical manufacturing

operations.

Turnaround Planning Coordinator (2001-2002)

Orchestrated major turnaround projects to decontaminate the process

equipment of LyondellBasell's chemical plant in Alvin, Texas. Created work

plans and one line drawings that identified all isolation points that

needed blinding. Partnered with operation teams to review all work plans

with each department and gain valuable input from process technicians.

Served as the main point of contact between the Maintenance and Operations

Groups while functioning as a Backup Operation Planner tasked with

scheduling and coordinating day-to-day maintenance activities using SAP

enterprise systems.

. Safely completed the turnaround project in compliance with all business,

schedule and budget requirements.

. Facilitated the management of equipment cleaning work plans and sketches

after converting them to electronic files.

. Played a key role as the member of the MOWP startup team at

LyondellBasell's Chocolate Bayou polyethylene resin plant.

Maintenance / Lab Training Coordinator (1999-2001)

Devised and implemented numerous training programs to develop the skills of

Lab and Maintenance employees, as needed. Coordinated internal and external

training programs in collaboration with outside vendors, plant engineers

and specialists. Assisted operations training coordinators with creating

and updating training manuals in addition to completing recertification

testing.

. Ensured that all of the Maintenance Department's millwrights obtain

national recertification through the National Center for Construction

Education & Research (NCCER).

. Successfully planned, developed and executed numerous regulatory training

programs to ensure compliance with the Safety, Health & Environmental

(HSE) Department's requirements.

Operations Trainer / Subject Matter Expert (1996-1999)

Created a staff-training program for the Olefins unit, which involved

developing all training documentation and implementing recertification

testing. Partnered with vendors, plant engineers and specialists to

coordinate training inside and outside the plant. Served as a key member of

the HSE Department tasked with delivering regulatory compliance training to

all staff members.

. Kept abreast of and trained technicians on all aspects of Process Safety

Management (PSM) that affected the Olefins unit.

. Converted training manuals to electronic CBT format to eliminate printing

costs and establish a paperless environment.
