EXPERIENCE
ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO, New Albany, OH 11/2006 - 4/2009
Industrial Engineer
• Engineer dedicated to A&F’s Direct-to-Consumer business, which fulfills E-Commerce orders totaling over 7 million
units in 2008. Took part in multiple retail distribution projects from A&F’s two 1 million square foot distribution
centers, which ship 90 million annual units to more than 1,000 stores across the company’s 5 brands.
• Project manager on year-long project automating direct-to-consumer fulfillment with the integration of a high-speed
Bombay Unit Sorter. The project realized a savings of $182K in Q1 of 2009, with an additional $41K savings from
consolidating the operation into one building. Worked closely with third party vendor to outline functional and
technical specifications and developed a comprehensive plan for system integration and launch. The project lead to
an increase in accuracy while decreasing manual processes and eliminating non-value-added activities, resulting in a
40% efficiency improvement in outbound processes.
• Implemented Engineered Standards using Maynard MOST to maximize associate productivity. As part of a major
cost-savings initiative, developed an innovative new design for the distribution center’s most costly process, which
resulted in a 15% increase in associate productivity. This change led to a $267K savings in 2008.
• Performed extensive analysis on DTC Inventory Management. Developed algorithm to intelligently and effectively
determine a storage location for an item based on size, velocity, and other relevant factors.
• Designed, tested, implemented and evaluated integrated systems for production and material handling processes.
Analysis focused on associate work factors, quality control and inventory control. Dealt with production scheduling,
material flow, value stream mapping, and best practice analysis.
• Created tools and documentation to assist operations management in decision making, policy formulation, and other
functions to maximize efficient practices. Developed support software to facilitate accurate workload assignments.
• Assumed responsibilities in Supervisory role on IT projects and system changes requiring extensive User Acceptance
and Regression testing.
NATIONWIDE DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS, Grove City, OH 6/2006 - 9/2006

• Coordinated projects involving procedure documentation, process improvement, and capacity analysis.
• In 3 months, increased productivity by 24% with implementation of a streamlined order fulfillment process to
distribute materials to Nationwide’s 30,000 employees.
• Developed a system to determine appropriate resource allocation based on production volume.
ESA: ENGINEERS, SURVEYORS & ASSOCIATES, Toledo, OH 6/2000 - 9/2002
Assistant Engineer and Surveyor
• As an intern, performed multiple engineering functions, determined design constraints, estimated project budgets,
and prepared proposals.
