retirement in February 2008. His "go to" guy for all things

Administrative.

Served as subject matter expert in administrative matters and processes.

Managed, implemented and directed a 12 person Administrative division:

. Prepared and oversaw the preparation of reports, instructions, military

awards, notices and all other routine Naval correspondence, forms,

records, mail, directives, or publications management systems.

Maintained day-to-day as well as long-range calendars, schedules and

ticklers.

. Trained subordinate enlisted personnel.

. Properly handled incoming and outgoing classified, registered and routine

mail.

. Attended and participated in staff meetings, providing input and advice

on all administrative matters.

. Performed full range of administrative and legal activities for CNSF.

. Analyzed and evaluated command's issues and forwarded for appropriate

action. This includes noting and correcting file deficiencies (missing

docs) before sending to the Chief of Staff.

. Routed to other CNSF staff directorates as appropriate, ensuring follow-

. Responsible for Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act (FOIA/PA) and

. Responsible for all legal paperwork aboard the ship including Captain's

pertaining to the ship.

Worked directly for the Officer in Charge (OIC) of Naval Support Facility.

Charge.

. Used conversational Japanese skills to work closely with the Japanese

community when it came to events that brought them and the U.S. Navy
