2009: Acquisition project team member
This was the largest acquisition in CenturyLink history.
As a part of the PTP team, I worked on the blueprint phase to determine
what objects would be in scope in relation to reports, interfaces,
conversions, enhancements, forms and web development (RICEFW)
. Functional specification creation for assigned RICEFW objects
. Developed test scripts and executed regression, unit and integration
tests
. Provided Go-Live support to the procurement department and materials
management end users
. Enhancements:
o Plant to plant transfer: Worked with ABAP programmer to develop a
custom program to facilitate one and two step plant to plant transfers
o EDI 832 Catalog information: Developed a process to notify the 3PL
provider of any new items that would be carried in inventory using the
standard EDI type MATMAS
o Web portal searches: Created new search functionality in the portal
for plant information, delivery address number and vendor searches.
Enhanced legacy material search to incorporate new fields
o Material Creation Request: Worked with OpenText to modify an existing
material request workflow process to integrate new approval levels and
new field criteria
o Delivery address information: Developed process to add custom delivery
text into a purchase requisition and subsequent order based on the
delivery address number entered on the requisition
o MRP implementation: Implemented MRP functionality for retail store
replenishment
o Info Record Create program\Info record change: Worked with ABAP
programmer to facilitate info record mass loads using an upload
template. The same template was used to update info records based on
the material/vendor/purchasing org as keys to find and update specific
info records
o Contract create and change programs: Worked with ABAP programmer to
develop a contract load program using a BDC process and a contract
change program
. Interfaces:
o Point of Sale interface: Developed a batch process for transmission of
POS information into SAP utilizing IDOCs to create a goods issue
(961), return against an internal order number (962), or a return to
non valuated inventory (451). EDI type is MBGMCR
o Parts file: Interface from SAP to an external ordering system of
material master and source list information for creation of purchase
requisitions within the external system
o 3PL interface: Assisted in development of third party logistics
interfaces for stock movements, using EDI transaction sets 940, 944
and 945
. Conversions: Responsible for the MM Data conversion which involved
developing data conversion strategies and executing mock data loads.
