WORK EXPERIENCE

MUBEA INC., FLORENCE, KENTUCKY – 2008

A Tier 1 Automotive Parts Manufacturer of coil springs, stabilizer bars, and other engine parts with

worldwide distribution to all major Automotive Manufacturers. My position as Manager of Controller

was eliminated in 03/08 due to severe Company Budget shortfalls resulting from the dramatic downturn

in the sales of automobiles of the Company’s Customers.

MANAGER OF CONTROLLING:

Primary responsibilities: 1)responsible for the overall financial management of the North America

Division ($260MM), including the accurate and timely financial reporting; 2)providing the financial and

analytical leadership necessary to optimize the Division’s financial results; 3)the formulation and

monitoring of all Accounting policies, procedures and systems of internal controls; 4)supervised six (6)

Plant Controllers; 5)responsible for oversight and management of cost accounting system at all company

locations; 7)the recruiting, staffing, training and supervision of six Plant Controllers and 2 additional

01/06 to take a year off to have knee replacement surgery. I have had successful knee replacement surgery

PLANT CONTROLLER:

Responsible for the overall financial management of Florence manufacturing plant ($150MM), including

A manufacturer of retail plastic packaging and medical packaging with worldwide distribution. My

position was eliminated when the company was acquired and subsequent downsizing (60% reduction in

controls as they related to the Asheville plant; supervised Plant’s standard cost accounting system and

BOM standards; completed monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting of the Plant’s performance;

completed detailed monthly Variance Analysis of Plant’s performance versus Budget and prior year;

prepared annual Budget; responsible for Inventory Management, Work Orders and timely resolution of

Customer Claims; supervised accounting staff of 5.

CHESAPEAKE DISPLAY & PACKAGING COMPANY, WINSTON-SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA

1996 - 2002

A global leader of point-of purchase displays, merchandising services and specialty packaging. CD&P, a

subsidiary of Chesapeake Corporation, is one of the three largest display companies in the world. My

position was eliminated when the Company was acquired and the acquiring company installed their own

Primary responsibilities: 1)responsible for the overall financial management of the North America

Display Group ($200MM), including the accurate and timely financial reporting; 2)providing the financial

and analytical leadership necessary to optimize the Division’s financial results; 3)the formulation and

monitoring of all Accounting policies, procedures and systems of internal controls; 4)supervised

implementation, training and daily use of J.D. Edward’s (ERP) enterprise reporting and planning system

for financial team as well as its interface with all other Company departments; 5)responsible for

conversion of general accounting system to standard cost accounting system; 6)responsible for

development and management of cost accounting system at all company locations; 7)the recruiting,

staffing, training and supervision of six Plant Controllers, two Assistant Controllers, an Assembly

Controller, a Cost Accounting Manager and 25 additional accounting staff members; 8)co-leader of

Company’s Sales and Operations Planning Process Team; 9)member of the senior management team.

PLANT CONTROLLER: 1998 - 2000

Responsible for the overall financial management of CD&P’s Erlanger, Kentucky manufacturing plant

($65MM), including the accurate and timely financial reporting; providing the financial leadership

necessary to optimize the Plant’s financial results; the formulation and monitoring of all Accounting

policies, procedures and internal controls as they related to the Erlanger plant; responsible for the

implementation, training and supervision of the Company’s ERP system (JD Edwards) both within the

Plant’s Finance Department and other departments within the Plant; assisted Division Controller in the

daily supervision of the Division’s manufacturing and assembly plants; ensured the integrity of the

financial reporting of these plants on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis; supervised accounting

PLANT CONTROLLER: 1996 - 1998

Responsible for the overall financial management of Color-Box’ Visalia, California manufacturing plant

($20MM), including the accurate and timely financial reporting, providing the financial leadership

policies, procedures and internal controls as they related to the Visalia plant; responsible for the

implementation, updating and maintenance of the Plant’s Novell Network (40 workstations) and

N.T. HILL INCORPORATED, FRESNO, CALIFORNIA 1989 - 1996

A residential homebuilder specializing in the construction of single family homes. Left Company when it

suffered a dramatic loss in market share and was forced to downsize.
