PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Continental Corporation, Huntsville, AL 2006- Present

Project Manager: Responsible for New Product Launch within Siemens and

Continental. Managed design and implementation team for Telematics

programs within the company. Integral part of the R&D Program team to

transfer Design for Manufacturing/Design for Quality/Design for Cost

philosophies into the Project Life cycle facilitating a Lean

manufacturing with minimal R&D budget spend process. Proven ability to

prepare and coordinate technical portions of Requests for Proposal,

including source selection evaluation criteria. Proven ability to

translate user requirements into technical objectives pursuant to the

design, development, qualification and field support. Prepared

solicitation requests for major system and sub-system requirements.

Facilitated contract negotiations. Proven experience performing

engineering project task management functions such as providing cost

estimate, in developing project/program plans, tracking project status,

Launched a ~$350M Continental/Chrysler Telematics project in 2009, which

came in 60% under launch capital & cost budget, while also being at

targeted manufacturing cost and launch quality targets.

Wright-K Technology, Huntsville, AL 2004- 2006

Project Manager: - for special projects in Automotive, Aerospace,

Appliance & Pharmaceutical industries in the South West. Quoted new

capital equipment projects for industries in the Southwest. Managed the

R&D, Design, development, fabrication, assembly, debug, validation,

installation, acceptance and sign-off of projects to our customers.

Quoted ~$20M in jobs and delivered ~$5M in jobs between 2004 & 2006.

Negotiated contracts with sub-suppliers, responsible for acquisition of

systems, prepared solicitation requests, instrumental in web-based

contract awarding system for company and customers. Instrumental in

technical systems performance parameters, contract scopes of work, work

Operations Manager: - Founded and developed an IT business. Secured $2M

in venture capital. Specified and built a custom building for

IT/Telecoms business. Worked with local authorities to implement

strategy for rural broadband service and realized a cost competitive

broadband solution that worked for our business model. Developed

unique integrated system to system software packages to resolve broad-

spectrum incompatibilities and deliver cost effective and efficient

business solutions. Delivered audio-to-written and proofed transcripts

for Medical, Legal and Financial companies throughout the U.S. and U.K.

Employed 46 people and generated $6M in turnover by year 3. Sold

company to Telecommunications company in Europe (2004).

Donegal HealthCare, Ltd., Letterkenny, Co. Donegal 2001-2002

Principle Engineer: - Responsible for engineering projects and new

product launches. Developed new IV Bag production Line for Fresenius

Kabi. Re-Engineered two (2) $3M production lines that were operating

at 60% of cycle time. Introduced Lean Cell concepts and SMED

philosophies that brought the lines to 160% of designed cycle time,

increasing output from 17K units/week to 75K units/week. Conducted in-

depth Cost Analysis studies, Economic Analysis studies & Design to Cost

studies involving research & methodology, studies & estimates, data

base, verification & validation control in accordance with FDA and

Healthcare protocol. Implemented a production and scrap monitoring

system that reduced the scrap levels from 12% to 1%. Process

improvement projects were implemented in a 5 month timeframe without

capital equipment expenditure.

Intel Corporation, Ireland & US 2000-2001

Lithography Manufacturing Engineer Team Lead: - Responsible for new

product introduction in the Lithography department, where the highest

cost core technology machines reside. Responsible for capacity

planning and new equipment purchasing and installation. Responsible

for impact mitigation of production facility while removing obsolete

equipment and installing new generation $10M+ equipment units.

Consulted on specific technical aspects of the systems, construction,

and concept development of portions of New Product launches. Installed

~$300M of equipment in 12 months. Resolved the long-standing

transition problem between P856 and P858/9 technologies.

Project Engineer: - Responsible for new product introduction and

production technology roll-out amongst 400+ companies throughout the

T&N Group. Companies were located throughout all European countries,

Asia, Africa, Australia, Far East & North America. Spent 6 months to 1

year in selected facilities, identifying production improvements and

implementing new process technologies and targeting new products in

strategic areas.

Implemented advanced technology projects such as "Elliptical piston

machining", Development of 10 micron coating processes for "Multi-

layered steel gaskets, design and development of topographical FTIR

laser measurement system. Subsequently found that the FTIR system that

we developed in 9 months had the same characteristics and results as

the Materials analyzer aboard the Mars Pathfinder robot.
