• Projects involving writing job descriptions and employment agreements; resolving
employee complaints in relation to FLSA, unjust discharge and discrimination.
• Handled all employee relations for client who took over an operation with 45
employees – initially retaining 95% to protect customer service and then
systematically re-building an improved better trained ongoing workforce.
• Negotiated a new Collective Bargaining Agreement for a client.
Martin Transportation Systems/RTS/Bay Logistics
Executive Vice President 1995-2005
Senior manager providing HR/Labor Relations leadership during period of growth and
change. Specifically handled all Labor Relations and directed related activity. Member
of Management Committee and Executive Committee.
Selected challenges and accomplishments:
• Negotiated and administered numerous Collective Bargaining Agreements
• Enhanced the success of RTS/MTS becoming General Motors largest parts
carrier by containing labor costs and obtaining operational flexibility.
• Key role in starting and guiding Bay Logistics, which has developed into a major
logistics supplier operating over 2 million sq ft in 8 locations. Hired and mentored
the first manager of the flagship operation. Enabled Bay Logistics to become the
low cost provider in southeast Michigan through positive employee relations.

Led conflict resolution; established progressive employee discipline process.
