. Served as negotiator with local dignitaries and opposing warlords.
Worked directly for Vermont 86th BDE National Guard.

Worked with U.S Embedded Training Teams (ETTs) with Afghan National Army (ANA).
Interpreted and translated for US ETTs while mentoring the ANA in logistical and
infantry tactics, techniques and strategies. Served as negotiator with local dignitaries and
opposing warlords.
- Interpreter/Translator, Consulate General of India, Herat, Afghanistan July 2003 -
March 2004
Worked directly with the Counsel General Visa Officer and the Admin/Finance Officer.
Translated official correspondence from different agencies and interpreted in meetings
between the consulate and local government authorities. Worked with visa officer to help
him explain visa procedures to applicants. Worked with the Admin/Finance officer
solving pay issues with the local Staff and their attendance sheets.
- Radio Operator, International Medical Corps, (IMC) Herat, Afghanistan
January 2003 - July 2003
Maintained communication between all IMC bases in Afghanistan. Kept record of each
contact (time/location, purpose of contact), conducted daily radio checks with all IMC
local and international staff. Kept records of IMC vehicle and staff movements. At the
end of each day submitted daily computerized reports.

Translated and computerized agreements/contracts between IMC and other Government
agencies. Worked with staff contracts, time sheets, warning letters, and work certificates.
Fully explained regulations to locals. Worked with staff pay issues and payroll list.
- Medical Translator, Medicine Du Monde February 2002 - June 2002
Worked with French and British doctors who were the trainers for the Afghan
doctors. Translated official documents from Dari to English and English to Dari.
Provided oral interpretation between the local staff and foreigners.
