Circuit City is one of the leading brands of America selling consumer electronics including accessories. It is Internet based e-commerce web application. System is designed and developed such that the transactions are secure, calculate rates and billing based on the options, able to handle heavy user traffic periods and allowed users to browse through the products. Features include saving shopping cart, multiple shipping addresses, gift registry etc. Also worked on another project that is used in stores for Point of Sale (POS).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developed Test Plan and Test Cases for e-bill, call rating based on the user stories (functional and technical requirements), based on the solution requirement specification (SRS) documents from Business analyst and technical design documents from Developers.

JMS is a customized multi-user application developed using 3-Tier architecture, which completely automates the activities of a jewelry shop. The 1st layer is the presentation layer, which gets the input from the user. The 2nd layer is the business layer which has all the inventory business objects and accounts business objects which gets the properties and process these properties and stored in the 3rd layer database.

The system has the Order, workshop, sales, purchase, inventory control, and accounting modules. The system has the customized payment mode facility to create a user-defined Payment/Receipt mode. The Accounts Module developed using the COM concept, where the transactions of Inventory module will automatically posted in to the Accounting module. Because of this middle tier architecture, the inventory transactions will be converted as vouchers in the Accounts without having any help from accounting persons.

The system has both serial inventory and non-serial inventory and also has facility of the stock valuation. In JMS Inventory and accounts are linked so when a value is involved in the inventory it will be posted to the accounts. Then we can get the financial reports and accounting reports with no time.

The accounting module has Trial balance, profit & loss, Balance sheet, Cash flow, Fund flow, Daybook single entry, Daybook double entry and graphical statistics. The Project done using stored procedures, which can be reusable.
