Responsible for prioritizing the work load as it is received and the

distribution of the film and the completed reports to their

appropriate facilities and locations.

1998-1999 MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONIST/BAYLOR MEDICAL CENTER AT GARLAND

Working as a Medical Transcriptionist in the Health

Information Service Department for Radiology. Transcribing

large volumes of Radiology reports, Mammogram reports,

Vascular and Echo reports, Discharge summary reports, and

History & Physical reports. Responsible for transmitting

completed work to the IMS Relay System on a daily basis.

Corrects report work types if they have been entered

incorrectly in the Lanier Dictation System. Develops

standard report as necessary. Communicates with physicians

needed dictation. Queuing all work through the Lanier system.

Receiving radiology dictation from (5) five

Neuroradiologist. Stamping all requisitions in a timely

manner.

1995-1998 POLICE TRANSCRIPTIONIST/ CITY OF DALLAS

Civil Service Position working under direct supervision of

Staff Review Sergeant. Duties involved transcribing police

reports via telephone and in person direct from police

officers in the field. Generating a report from information

received by necessitating 870 penal codes and 23 formats for

permanent storage of City, State and National utilization.

Ability to make decisions based on policy, law and

regulations that apply to work. Large volume of medical and

legal terminology used on a daily basis. Provide backup

workload for Emergency 9-1-1 system and communicating with

all unit agents, (Vice, Narcotic, and Undercover.) All work

is assigned and performance evaluated by Staff Review
